Betting Rounds and Tournament Structure

In our poker tournaments, betting follows a structured sequence: Pre-flop, Flop, Turn, and River. Each round allows players to check, bet, call, raise, or fold based on the strength of their hand and strategy.

  1. Pre-flop: After hole cards are dealt, the first betting round begins with the player left of the big blind.
  2. Flop: Three community cards are dealt, followed by a betting round.
  3. Turn: A fourth community card is dealt, followed by another betting round.
  4. River: The final community card is dealt, followed by the last betting round.
  5. Showdown: Remaining players reveal their hands to determine the winner.

Blinds increase at regular intervals as per the tournament schedule. No real-money bets are placed; only tournament chips are used.

Showdown Protocol and Table Talk Guidelines

Showdown Rules

At showdown, players must reveal their hole cards in a timely manner. The last player to bet or raise shows first; if no bet was made on the final round, the player to the left of the dealer shows first.

  • Players may muck their hand if they do not wish to reveal it, but only when they are not required to show.
  • All winning hands must be shown to claim the pot.
  • The dealer will manage the showdown process.
  • Cards must remain visible and above the table at all times.

Table Talk Guidelines

Table talk should be respectful and must not reveal the contents of your hand or influence other players' decisions. Discussing the current hand in a way that could give an unfair advantage is prohibited.

  • Avoid making statements about your hand strength or possible holdings.
  • No collusion or signalling between players.
  • Keep conversations friendly and non-disruptive.
  • Violations may result in penalties or removal from the game.
